Dang it. Have to rise to the challenge:

1. 7 Server class machines all functioning and in use. (all machines running Red Hat 7.3 and One is a full blown Oracle Server).
2. Main Dev Machine is an Athlon 2200 currently sporting a Matrox Parhelia Video Card, 2 GB Ram, 100GB WD Drive Mirrored, 3 Monitors (thanks to Parhelia) and Dolby 5.1 surround for games (no surround for dvd yet)
2. Fiberoptic Network around home office
3. 802.11b for rest of house and yard.
4. Gamecube/N64/3 GBA's -> found code to make GBA into a working webserver
5. Panasonic Progressive Scan DVD
6. Two very ordinary TV's.
7. Two Lego Mindstorm Robots that run around living room and office and pick up trash off floor.

4 computers in my room
Best computer has AXP 1800+, GeForce4 Ti4200, 512MB DDR, 19" Sony Trinitron G400 (dual input), 120GB Western digital HD, DVD-ROM, CD-RW, SB Audigy, 4.1 surround sound.
All the computers in my house are interconnected by 100Mbit ethernet, wired myself, and have DSL.
27in RCA TV with Guide+Gold (which kicks ass when it dosent lose your channel settings)
Sony Clie PEG-T415 (To be replaced by Danger Hiptop/T-Mobile Sidekick as soon as it's released)
Tripp Lite OmniSmart 725 UPS

I think I'm doing pretty well for a 16 year old with no job.

lol!! Thats my boblbee backpack. I remember when I first Saw Charlies Angels...the girls were wearing them near the end. Then I saw it again in Fast and the Furious! So I had to get one. I also ran red neon glow wire along the sides. You can sorta see them in the picture

Hey, don't think I have it so easy.

I saved up enough money to buy my computer parts through crappy summer jobs, christmas and birthday money, and mowing lawns around the neighborhood.

The Clie I use was a gift from my dad's company to my dad, and since he dosen't use it, I can. Other than the cabling and router for the home network, my parents didn't buy me a single item on that list.

I'm not one of those yuppie rich kids that gets whatever he wants from his parents. Case in point, I'm a few months away from being 17, and I have no car. My parents have no plans of buying me a car. I haven't asked them for a car. Do you know what I'm getting for my 17th birthday? I'll give you a hint, it's not a car.

Actually, now that Joe mentioned it, I sort of hope it's a blow up doll named cindy.

When I first wanted one the only place I knew to get it was directly through them at www.boblbee.com and like...the cheapest was ~$200.
They had cheaper ones ~$100 but they were the smaller bags.

Found a guy who does the full sizes for a decent price though, didn't have to pay $200 :D

And of course the glow wire you can find anywhere, just make sure you get the battery operated ones!

Onlyreason, what the heck is your problem man? I thought we were friends. I really enjoyed chatting with you and I was going to send you some Intel shirts and stuff. Why are you so upset now? Can we have you come back to the forums or are you going to continue to hate us?

I got out of the "beat the Jones" battles.
Time, age, having the best and having it stolen, and NOW limited income.

I have only one comment tho.

I did not see ANY mention of UPS's. (uninteruptable power supplys)
I have learned my lessons, manny times. Esp when a UPS used to cost $1000 and I didnt have one. Now they are much cheaper and well worth the money when a NEW system will set you back, Not in money but TIME. The electronics in alot of the NEW devices, Tv, Vcr, stereo, ect... Are VERY suseptable to Voltage changes(that blinking 12:00).

So what you have 6 computer all Linked together and On a Fiber optic line. 1(one) good shot to a telephone pole by a car, and crossing those power lines, and You would have alot of CRAP.

Please invest in a few UPS's..

thanks for reminding me, I just added it to my list. You dont really think about them once you have them.

OH, I think about mine every time the Power goes out. and my comp stays on, so as I can shut down PROPERLY(under windows).
Every time we get a wind storm we loose power(60-90mph) .
We live near a Highway and they have a few wrecks.
