Before I reformatted my computer, when I would play a video file with Windows Media player I could resize the window and the video would resize to fit. However since I have reformatted, the video is not resizing to fit the window thus making it extremely small. How do I fix this?

How do you set it to compact mode? I have it set to skin mode with the default skin. It used to work before I reformatted the computer. I am stumped on this one.

I am sorry man, I am just not seeing it. Under view I have Full mode and Skin Mode options only, no compact mode or any other settings to automatically resize the video.

I went to windows update and I do not see a media player update unless it is in one of the no name updates. I think I am SOL. :(

I could be way off here..but...
check your windows media folder..and then try to play whatever you are trying to play using wmplayer. And then try playing it using mplayer2. See if there is a resizing difference.

Dude, you were right on with this. Mplayer 2 does let you resize the windows but WMplayer doesnt. I wonder why that is?

Well I'm glad it worked man! I had the same problem when I got my new machine and it was running XP. that wmplayer was driving me crazy not letting me resize.

So is there no way to have WMplayer resize though? I dont want to use 6.4 mplayer2 forever!
