I recently reformatted my hard drive and was very excited to install Windows Media Center 2005 on it. However, I am rather disapointed because while the music portion of it works properly, whenever I start the Media Center application I get a message that says "Video Card is not compatible with Media Center." When I try to play videos through it the same message comes up, but I don't understand because I have no problems playing videos through MediaPlayer. Does anyone know why this might be happening and possible solutions to fix the problem?

Hmm that sounds odd. What type of video card do you have?

And, Im sorry, but I aint seen a CURRENT(less then 3 years) video card with LESS then 64/128 megs...
YOURS is 32 megs...
As for the DirectX version, 8.1 means that the graphics chip uses the Shader 1.4 model and 9.0 means that the graphics chip uses the Shader 2.0 model. nVidia chips from the 6 series on are DirectX 9.0c, using Shader 3.0 model, feature available on ATI chips only from their X1000 series on. DirectX 7 doesn't use Shader model. That's why GeForce MX 4000 and GeForce 4 MX are obsolete models, even though they are still available on the market.
