I am in the process of moving some PC's to a rack mount system. I am looking for a 4U rack mount case that would be a good place to start.

Sometimes like this..

At the end of my little project, I will probably need two 4U and one 2U case. The 2U case I will do later, so for now i'm just looking for the 4U case.

One will be used for a file server so it will need alot of spots for hard drives. Anyone purchase any of these before and have any recommendations?

transplanting non-rack specific hardware is sorta hard at times and the best bet is to buy enclosures from either Antec (like you linked too) or Supermicro. Be careful that your motherboard layout will actually work in the case, many enclosures don't do well with stock ATX but where designed for eATX in mind. Also make sure you get the right HSF for the processor/enclosure. This will be especially important in the 2U case.

In LA I'd not even look at online sources, open the phone book and find graybar in "electrical" and go there. Its a home depot type place for electricians and big network types. You'll have lots of choice and good prices on things you can see and touch before buying.

I'm going to order couple more 4U rackmounts. Want to buy antec but it is over my budget. I'm looking for some cheaper solution. I find this Maxtop IPC-4039B 4U Rackmount Sever Chassis (http://www.arrowmax.com/product_info.php?cPath=30_32&products_id=101). Seem this case can put a lot of HDD and the price is good. Does this look OK?

I decide to this Thermaltake to power up my system! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817153023

I just bought this case (http://directron.com/30at.html) just this morning. I belive it is a rebadged version of this Antec case (http://directron.com/4u22atx4502.html). I added 26in rails and an Enermax 500W (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817194003) modular PSU to go with it.
