Has anyone seen these LCD televisions made by Sharp called the Aquos? They come in various sizes and can be used as both an HDTV or and a computer monitor. For a 17" display it will run you a few thousand dollars. To me this seems way over priced yet Sharp continues to introduce new products to this line.
What do you guys think?
WELL, for $15,000 you can get a 45"
And I have seen Computer TFT's for under $1000

So here is a question. What is the difference between a 17" Aquos LCD branded as a TV with computer support versus a Samsung 17" LCD with HDTV and PIP support branded as a computer monitor with TV abilities?
I do not see the difference, but there is a $1000-$2000 price difference between the two.
Silly if you ask me.
I would say little or nothing.
2 things to look for.
warrenty length, and what is the Brightness/and gamma intensity.
Brighter is Better.
Also, consider that 90% of LCD's have a life of less then 5 years, unless you pay the price.
They cant take direct sun light(it will burn them up), or heat(it will dry the chemicals).

I do not know if that is true or not, but less than 5 years doesn't sound right. I think this motivated me to write an article on how LCD displays work. Look for it soon!

I always thought the Aquos were a waste too. I have NEVER seen someone purchase any of these no matter which store I am at.
