Aside from the PED, PEG-NZ90 (I've decided the NZ90 isnt a PDA, its just too.. big. I've taken Sony's name for it: Personal Entertainment Device)...

Anyways, Sony does have some new answers for the world in the normal PDA market.

The PEG-SJ33G is going to be replacing the PEG-SJ30 (checking the computer at work, Best Buy will be carrying the SJ33G and the NZ90 on February 29th'ish)...

http://www.sony.jp/products/Consumer/PEG/PEG-SJ33/index.html

If you cannot read Japanese, you might be somewhat confused, but I'll give you what I managed to translate from their site.

Palm OS 4.1 (Im not sure if its OS 4.1.2, or if it is using the new Graffiti (Grafitti 2)

Dragonball Super VZ 66MHz

320x320 16bit (65,536 color) screen

16mb RAM, 8mb ROM

MP3 / ATRAC3 playback - ATRAC has longer playback on this Clie than MP3 (Sony trying to enforce its RIAA-friendly format, of course)

Removable Battery (?) I dont know how to read battery in Japanese, so I dunno...

---

There is also the PEG-SJ22G which will be "replacing" the SJ20, but is more or less an upgrade to the SJ30. It is the same as the SJ33G, but with no audio player. (color display, for instance, where the SJ20 didnt have one)

Very very cool looking. Again I think the PalmOS falls short, and the 66MHz CPU is just way to underpowered in my opinion. I do love Sony devices though, they are very cool in both features and design.

I wonder about stability, which one is easier to crash? Are there more bugs in Pocket PC than in Palm. The newer OS prolly needs time to Iron out the details.

True, but which has more features? I say that PocketPC does. Plus its easier to learn to use and more compatible with your home computer, especially if you are running a MS OS on it ;)

I say PalmOS does. You want Pocket PC software, you need to go BUY something which has been approved by MS.

PalmOS has thousands of software options, FREE options.

As for compatability with your home PC, Palm Desktop does everything I'd need it to do... and there is other software you can get (FREE ;) ) which is even better at it.
