Need help with RAZR V3c

I heard that i cant unlock the razr V3c to get rid of the restrictions verizon has on it, like i cant costumize my interface or get rid of the red bars. Does anyone know how i can do that without screwing up the phone?

Check out the Verizon-Motorola board at www.howardforums.com. They have a sticky there with a link to flashing your Verizon razr with Alltel firmware. It's a bit of a process to get it down and then complete all of the seem edits to get things like Get It Not and messaging working again.

(Not TOO terrible, though. I just did this to my phone last week.)

Thanks, i had looked at tha tpage b4 but i have never done this and it seems really complicated and risky. all i want to do is get rid of those red bars....but then there is alll this other stuff too...thanks tho....

I also don't like to do what a don't understand, I am afraid to make it worst than it is(what usually happens). But a friend of mine referred me to a cool tech support site with free live support that can explain to you step by step what to do. Since then I fixed lots of stuff by myself.
