Hi guys and gals,

I was hoping I could get some suggestions on good sites for DSLR photo techniques. I just procured a Canon Digital Rebel XT with 17-85mm IS and 70-300mm IS lenses and want to get started in photography. The canon site below seems pretty good, but I always like to get multiple sources.

Anyhow, any help is greatly appreciated!

(the site I'm using now, which is kinda fluffy:
http://www.photoworkshop.com/canon)

I'm also 6 block from RISD, and have thought about taking a class there, but I want to get the basics down first.

speed an apiture are the most important.

with a SLOW speed, almost Closed apiture, on a bright day, and about 1/30 esposure,
You get a depth of field effect.
The lower the light the more you open the apiture, rather then ADD speed..
Use speed, for (as it says) moving items... 400-800 is MAX, unless you are in the dark..

Hi neuroking

I used to have the XT.

How are you getting on with it or have you upgraded yet.
