recessed plasma installation?

OK, so I have searched the forum for info on 'recessed' installs of plasma displays, but no joy. My wife is willing to do the wall mount, but does not want the display to stick out the 6-7" that I have read here is normal. Are there any considerations (other than venting) for installing the display into the wall?

Any pointers will be appreciated.
