View Full Version : help on Creative zen nano plus - use in car
I just bought Creative zen nano plus - 1GB and would like to connect in my car audio system.
I only have CD player in it. Any options for a better, cheaper way to connect the mp3 player in the car.
Thanks

you can use a car FM transmitter (Belkin makes them, but there are many more, all are generic, and will work with any device that has headphone output.
Another option is to take the car stereo out (or get someone to do it for you) and wire an extra connector to the aux-in pins on the back of the stereo. Try to locate the stereo's manual first ;)
FM Transmitter is the easiest way.
Thanks Franz,
I am looking for a FM transmitter. I did find one for Radio shack. Do you know how that would be? Its little expensive - $40.
Any other cheaper suggestions?

you should be able to find fm transmitters for under $30.
This is the one I use and it is fine. Just make sure whatever you get, that it allows you to use any station (some of the early ones had 3 preset stations,a nd if you happen to live where there is a radio station on those 3 presets, you were out of luck)

$30-40 seems to be a standard price for a decent one.
Might get an older model from Belkin cheaper. Compare these 2:

EDIT: indeed, newegg have them for $10 less each, e.g.:
20ish for the first revision and 30ish for the second

I do not know about radio shack, but this is a good brand for this sort of things and they give you warrenty, too. Btw. Belkin gives 3 years.
You can find cheaper ones on ebay - just search for "car FM transmitter" and there are loads. You might get something for a tener, probably not as good as Belkin but if you are looking for a cheap thing that will let you play music, you might try ebay.

I don't know if you're a student or not. But if you are you can get one for like $20 here:

They have really good discounts, the site is mostly focused on acadmeic software, but they also have quite a few mp3 things.
- let me know if this helps
