Creative Zen Vision Resources

Anyone here have a Zen Vision? Are there any software sites or resource sites for this MP3 player? I love it but would like for it to do more!

I have Zen vision M, great player, I needed some help with podcasts though and found 2 forums.

The first one is very good place with lots of resources. the other one is focused on podcasts and not very busy but they helped me there.

Do you know if the Zen Vision supports Xvid video types yet?

Plain ZEN Vision does not support xVid as far as I know.
My ZEN Vision M does, and so does ZEN Vision W according to the specs on creatif website, there are some bits in small print thou:

* This is not a DivX certifed product. Playback support on this device applies to DivX 4 & 5 only.
** XviD encoded files are playable if they are encoded as standard MPEG-4 Simple (SP) or Advanced Simple Profile (ASP) without GMC.

This is probably why some vids need to be transcoded. But I'd say 90% of them work on my Zen Vision M.

So I have the original Zen Vision, is that the Vision W or just the Zen Vision?

the original one does not play back Xvid, only M and W for sure

Looks like the W maybe has new hardware specs?

on the picture the W version seems as if it has wider screen, dunno.
I just clicked on the link you posted. There, go on the specification, it reads:

Video Playback Formats: AVI, MPEG-1/2/4-SP, Windows Media™ Video (WMV) 9, Motion-JPEG, DivX™2 4 and 5 and XviD3

So all of them playback Divx and Xvid bu not all flavours of it.
