Hi every 1 basically what has happend is that this website sells mobile phones, laptops, etc. well back in july i bought a samsung e900 phone for £150 from www.elitepublications.co.uk, after a week i thought my phone had come but it was just a letter sayin go to www.cereselling.co.uk and enter reference number they will send you the phone, so i did that and after 2 weeks i had not received my phone yet so i contacted them and they say it takes max 40 days by ups because they are sending from switzerland which i never knew, they said if it hasnt arrived by 40 days we will reinburse you. so 40 days went past and they said they will give me a refund so basically today i received my refund for £72.50 when it should be £150, they say it is because of service charges, well because they lost my phone i lost £75.00, to be honest i dont even think that they actually send out the phones they just wait untill 40 days have past then give you 45% refund. please help me this website needs to be closed down

ANY1 ELSE BEEN INVOLVED WITH WWW.ELITEPUBLICATIONS OR WWW.CERESELLING.CO.UK WRITE BACK THIS IS URGENT AS THEY ARE SCAMMIN EVERY1????

I think what he meant was that you can call your credit card company and dispute the charges. When you tell your credit card company that you are disputing the charges they will credit back your entire puchase automatically. They will then have you fill out a form telling them why you are disputing the charges (product not received). They will then go to the seller who will have to convince the credit card company that you owe the money. You might want to look online to see if you can find other people who have had the same problem with them in case you need to try and illustrate to your credit card company that it's a scam.

I've had to do this a couple of times. In both cases my card was credited back and I never heard anything again.

At least this is how it works in the U.S., I'm not sure if the credit card companies have different policies abroad. U.S. law governs a lot of the policies the credit card companies have regarding fraud here. There might be a time limit too on how long you have to dispute. That may be the reason they ask you to wait so long because they know that you will have a tougher time getting the charges reversed.

Whatever you do, I'd call your credit card ASAP.

Afternoon All

I have been involved with ce reselling, I made an order direct through them, I didnt go through this other company which is being mentioned. I purchased a nokia 8800 mobile from them and it came last week, they kept me updated all the time with whats going on, and when they got my payment, and then told me the tracking number for my order which came to be in 5 days by Ups.

From what I can gather, this other company refer customers to ce reselling and according to the T&C's on ce's website, they mention that if you want a refund after your order has been sent out, then you will be charged a cancellation fee. It's all in black & white. Im no law expert, but I have found this information and from past experiences, if your not happy with company policies, then dont buy from them.

Something to ponder.
Faking a site isnt hard. You can pull almost everything from a site and take order, you can page around and keep pulling the displayed pages, as if they were on the site.
Unless you have a browser that TELLS you this is happening, or blocks it...you MAY not be sending money to the correct people.

To me, there is a difference between cancelling an order and never receiving it. I can understand if they ship you an order, you receive it and for whatever reason you simply decide you don't want it that they have some cause to charge a cancellation fee. It costs them money to take a return. However, in this case the item was lost enroute. The shipper might provide some sort of insurance so I would not be surprised if CE were actually reimbursed for the cost of the phone from the shipper.

Was a tracking number ever issued for the phone? Who was the shipper? I would contact them. Find out what insurance they provide if any. As I said, some provide a minimal amount without charge and you can then buy additional if the item exceeds the insurance provided for free. For example, UPS provides $100 of insurance for every item and you can pay a nominal fee if you want to increase that amount.

I tried purchasing a Nokia N80 from elitepublications.co.uk, but it never arrived. The same thing happened to me as 'scammers1985'. However I did not even get my refund. I have been tring to send them emails, but no one is answering. Is it a coincidence that both websites have been 'Suspended Until Further Notice'

I am now trying to purchase a Nokia N95. Does anyone know of a good secure website that sells mobiles at good prices.

Cheers

OMG!!!!!! I ordered a TOMTOM 910 from them on the 20th August 06, I ordered from them because they were advertising on EBAY, which I have ordered from loads of times and never had any trouble. I followed their link and ordered online and paid with my meastro card. I received a confirmation email verifying my payment and then a few days after that I received a confirmation email of delivery. Well its the 1st November now and I still haven't received my TOMTOM I have emailed them loads to ask where it is and when they do answer they are not very helpful, but do keep informing me it has been despatched and will be with me soon. I have to wait 60 days before I can ask for a refund as this is their policy. I hope that watchdog do do something about this because there are bound to be many others who get scammed by these people and more often then not people who can't afford to be scammed !!!!!!!!

Then i would contact your Credit card company, and SEE if you have been charged..
ALL GOOD companies get a tracking number...ASK for it, and the name of the company delivering it...FedX, Snail mail, USPS, Who is to deliver it, and THEN you may contact them and ASK if there WAS a pickup.

Clio,
Look at each post...Just above the name is a Tel, line...with the Date and number of the post. At the very end, if you hover above the Last icon...ITS a log of your location..Its only the basic one you can view, but the full one is logged so the Admin can read and BAN.
