I installed IE7 last night, and I like it so far. I still won't switch from Maxthon, but if anyone was wondering, there are no problems with the combo (since Maxthon uses the IE engine).

Guys, check out how many comments are on his talk back. It looks like the FireFox or Apple fanboys made their way to it.

So I have had a few days to play around with it, and so far I like it better than FireFox. It does not suck up nearly as much memory. The one thing I noticed is that if you have 3-5 tabs open, it lags switching between tabs sometimes. Anyone else notice that?

I haven't messed with it much yet, but I have had zero problems with the hand full of times I used it. I'm still using Maxthon, but I'm thinking I might switch once I get more comfortable. I don't see much of a difference between ff and ie anymore, except maybe better plugins for ff. I'm sure the lagging (yeah I noticed that after 5 or so tabs) will be worked out in an update. I'm still getting used to no menus. FF 2 is pretty damn snappy at rendering, though.
I just don't use ff because I can't stand the evangelism. It's like buying a mac. I kinda want to, but I don't want to be a 'mac user'.
I'm installing linux on a spare drive, possibly this weekend, in which case I will be using ff more. maybe I'll get used to it. I don't know/don't care. I'm too old to be a fanboy, and too embarassed that I was once one. :)
i like firefox but i cant stand the memory usage either. Try running it for 24 hours without closing in a work environment. I end up sucking up about 700mg virtual memory and over 200 mg of physical memory.
However, I user it over IE6. I've installed IE 7 but only at home and my VM here at work.
I'm stuck using FF @ work because I'm one of those 'mac users'... *ahem*
(You can be a mac user and not a mac zealot at the same time ya know :)
