Hi guys,

Has anyone ever heard of/experieced this problem?

Whenever I try to double click on the volume icon in the taskbar, a box appears with the heading "Master Volume", and it looks like when u minimize a window. Click the box to restore it....nothin'!

Problem is, it won't open for anything! From control panel, desktop, and the little icon.

Jim over in spyware has helped me fix my comp twice now, and each time, it works like new...so I'm wondering if any of u nice knowledgable folks could lend me a hand. Hopefully, we can get some resolve. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your time and trouble!

Send him a Private message. He pops in every now and then. He may not see this thread unless he has more problems with his volume control.........Jim

My volume control will not open. I am using Windows XP. The volume speaker icon is in the right corner, when you click on it, it appears at the bottom as a running program, but nothing happens.

The system says there is nothing wrong with my drivers. How can I fix this problem.

I see I'm not the only one with this problem, but there's no solution written here.

Thanks for any help.

My problem was the Volume Control had been moved off screen, I don't know how, but it happened.

This article here helped me get it back. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows/bring-misplaced-off-screen-windows-back-to-your-desktop-keyboard-trick/

Just posting this here so that the next person who Googles the problem can find the answer.
