Ok I want to start a small online business and I am fairly new to this and someone told me I need to get a SSL on my site to make the credit card transactions secure. now i was looking here:

http://www.hostmywebsitenow.com

(sorry i do not know how to make a Url link button that you can click on so you'll just have to copy and paste the url)

And it has SSL, but under the 'domain names' tab is has something called "certified domain". Now can i use this instead of SSL or should I get both or just SSL?

you would need ssl to encrypt any data sent to/from your servers. However, many services will provide this for you. I'd look into a yahoo store or something if you are going to put up a webfront and dont know anything about programming.

because if you dont know what you are doing, even getting a site provider that supports SSL doesnt help.
