hey guys/gals, just bought a yp-k5 j mp3 player - very nice lol, except from the moment i first connected it to the pc via USB it says fully charged on the screen. ive left it for a few hours and it still says fully charged, when i disconnect it it goes to one or two bars of battery power and plays music for about 3 mins before shutting off. ive tried resetting it using the little button on the back but its had no effect. anybody else had the same problem or any ideas on how to sort it before i ring tech support?

This may sound dumb, but is there a pull tab covering the battery/player contacts? Sometimes new players have that to prevent battery discharge while it's in the package. Otherwise, it looks like you need to call Samsung and get a new battery.

my YP K5J AB tells me it is fully charged when plugged in to pc via USB but other than that it will not turn on and play music. When not plugged in it is completely dead.
Could this be caused by leaving it charging for too long? anyone, anyone..
No idea how to change the battery
:dunno :brick
yep, sounds like the battery died...
ALSO check the connectors on the USB...on the device and the PC.
Hi,
I have recently bought the same MP3 player and wondering if you have resolved your issue -? Please reply back to igor_makarenko@yahoo.ca directly.
Thanks a lot. I hope you would reply before I take this piece of ... back to the store...

imak..
there is a strange thing about USB...SOME dont POWER a device..
They arent setup that way, and if you have an older comp, the ODDS say it may not work.
