I'm buying a new Mac OS X V10.4 computer & want to connect it to my PC. Running cables is no problem. We need a router to connect both computers with the printer but our printer cannot connect with the router. You guys will probably have no idea what I'm trying to ask. But how do you get the printer to work from the mac if the printer is only connected to the PC? Do you need a special program?? Sorry to have to ask you this but I've been looking for AGES for a router that will do this & can't find anything...ughhh..lol I'm so frustrated with this!!!!!!! Thanks you guys

BTW..hope this makes sense..

does your printer support the mac? On windows you can "share" a printer that is connected to it, so that other PCs on the network can connect to it and use it.

In windows, you'd Browse the network to the PC that is connected to the printer, then connect to the printer.

On the mac, I dont think that will work. I think the printer has to support Mac OS X.

The Airport Extreme or Airport Express base stations will support printing from both the Mac and the Windows machine...

The Airport Extreme is a router and WiFi base station. the Airport Express either extends your wireless network or creates a wireless hub for printing or music streaming.
