Xbox 360 and Wii for now. 360 for the hardcore gamers, and Wii for the casual, group gamers.

For now??? we have to remember the Wii and PS3 both came out around fall 06 while the xbox came out a year earlier(I think). People bring up the games for both but when a system only has 4 months its not going to have five games that are all as good as Halo. The Wii is a new idea and its different. Thats why it is selling so well. Sony only put the six axis in to catch some of Wii fans eyes.

PS2
Okay, I'm half kidding but don't forget that old classic (I can't believe it's six years old...it just seems like yesterday.) Until the prices come way down on the other systems I think the PS2 will remain a big player. Graphics and gameplay are still good and there are tons of games available. There are so many units out there game development for it should remain strong for the next few years. I don't remember all the numbers but such a big deal was made about which unit, the Xbox 360 vs. Wii vs. PS3, was going to sell more during the Christmas holidays. PS2 outsold them all and was the top selling console of all of 2006 (even though the Xbox 360 was around the entire year.) So far in 2007 only the Wii has outsold the PS2.
As to your question. Obviously so far the Wii is kicking everybody's butt. I don't really get into the consoles much but it seems to have a lot going for it and it's so much cheaper. If it continues to gain momentum then surely at some point Sony and Microsoft will panic and start drastically cutting the prices of the PS3 and 360. That's when things ought to get interesting.
They have to act sooner rather than later though. As more and more Wii's move off the shelves more and more game developers are going to jump on the Wii bandwagon. No matter what your price is, long-term success is dependent on the number and quality of games available. Some of the "best" systems ever made failed miserably due to lack of quality third party game development and support. Game development is now so expensive many of the game companies can't afford to support every system out there so it serves a console well to establish a large user base quickly.
I've been enjoying the Xbox360 a ton. The graphics are simply amazing now that some good games are finally coming out for it.
I'd love to get a Wii, but having 5 consoles already, adding another would be just a little to much overload for my kids I think.
I hear the Wii is actually making money off the console itself, where traditionally consoles were sold at a loss, and money was made up off of the games. It's amazing the Wii is making money from everything. That just means when Sony and Microsoft counter by trying to lower their prices, Nintendo can easily lower the price of the Wii without concern.

I can't wait for more games to show up on the PS3, the system realy is pretty amazing. The Xbox 360 has been good to me, and they do have a lot of games. I read somewhere (I think Gamesindustry.biz) that analysts are saying the PS3 will outsell the Xbox 360 by the end of the year. Now whether that's because of the gaming capabilities, or because its a good Blu-ray play, I don't know.
