Hey, I've got a YP-K5 (2GB). It just doesn't show up as a drive (letter) in explorer. I have windows Media Player 10, it says that it doesn't see the player. Therefore I am unable to transfer songs to my player.

The computer says that it is there. It has identified the player namely samsung yp-k5. I have the samsung media center 5.1.3.2 installed. So I am 99% sure that i have the drivers and very sure I meet all the requirements what could be the problem. HELP!!!!!

Go into Control Panel>administrative tools>computer managements, click on Disk Management under the Storgae tab. Your K5 should show up there. Rename the drive letter and you should be fine. Usually when this happens, its because there is a comflict in Windows and its trying to assign your K5 a drive letter thats already being used.

Let me know if that works.

I have the exact same problem with my new K3. Do you have Service Pack 2 installed? and USB 2.0? These are requirements.

Today i installed SP2, updated to USB 2.0 (which can only be done with SP2 installed) , and i finally got the mp3 player to work, however it messed up the rest of my system. Everything slowed down to a near standstill. I had to uninstall SP2 in the end.

Now i'm back to square one, and i can't transfer anything to my player.
