Hey guys, I recently bought a second hand YH-820MC, without the software... Anyways, plugged it in, driver worked fine, and I could view all the files, saw the music etc, but cant drag and drop cause the pp5000.dat file isnt edited, so you see the old files, but cant play them, and dont see the new files... So I tried samsung music studio, but the MP3 player doesnt show up... Tried updating the firmware, no luck, tried installing napster (but didnt work since It said I need WMP 7 and above even though I have 11)... Basically I'm all out of ideas... Anyone know if it is because I have Windows Vista...? Are there alternative programs for transferring music to my MP3 player?

Any ideas appreciated

Best Regards,

1. I would really talk to samsung about it.
2. Vista isnt really a nice place to be, YET...Give it a year, for everyone to make New drivers.
3. WMP has changed, alot from previous versions. Previous versions Had ALL the drivers, New versions Dumped many drivers for copyright reasons.
4. someone here Should have Vista, and can tell you more. BUT, I dont think any other versions of WMP will run on Vista.
5. nothing Is compatible with Vista, Until MS tests it and modifies it first. All the printer drivers are being remade, Everything is being remade.
