I have an IFP-899 mp3 player, and can only get sound from the left channel, unless I apply alot of pressure to the headphone jack (it's definitely the player, not the headphones). Is there some way to fix this?
If not, is there a way to have the player output in mono? I can plug my headphones into a mono jack and plug that into the player so I get sound in both earplugs but it's all coming from the Left channel. If the player can output in mono, then at least the Left channel will be mixed. I don't see a mono output setting in the manual, but thought I'd still ask here before I re-rip my music in mono. Of course, I could just buy a new player (and a different brand, since Iriver doesn't make these any more), but I like the AA battery and gapless sound.
