Just after 9 months, my zen micro stopped working. It used to freeze at creative logo. After reading couple of messages on the creative forum, I felt the HDD has gone bad. I could confirm this by using a compact flash card reader. Then I replaced the HDD with a 4GB complact flash. Now it doesn't freeze at the creative logo, but reports as Firmware error and jumps to recovery menu. At this point if I plug it to PC using USB, my PC recognizes it. The real issue now is I'm not able to upgrade the firmware. The firmware loader (either 2.xxx or 1.xx) would show some progress (two/three points). After that it doesn't progress. Same time my player instead of firmware upgrade logo it displays recovery mode with docking logo. As it is not progressing, if I remove the USB the player doesn't respond. But the firware loader on PC reports as firmware ugrade failed. I don't know what is happening at this point. Has my player completely gone bad? If some body knows please help me on this.
