Just wondering how many people out there are still plugging along with a Celeron (450) 300A...

I got a P3 450...
If you look at the differences, there aint much. Even the P4 is being sued, because it really aint much improved over the P3.

Hey I remember those! I had a Celeron 300A made in Malasyia that I had overclocked to 450Mhz by changing the bus speed from 66MHz to 100MHz at a 4.5 clock multiplier. The core of the Celeron was the same as that of the PII450 except that the Celeron had the cache on the die thus allowing less cache on the Celeron to run at similar speeds to that on the PII450. Man, I had that Celeron 300A forever it seems. That had to be the easiest processor in the world to overclock and you did not need any extra cooling either.

My friend had 1 of those puppies as well, and we were in his comp all the time.

Beautiful beautiful processor that Celery 300a was...

Ha! Mine's Malaysian too. And yes, very easy to run at 450/100. It's good to see there's still some appreciation out there for our favorite Celery.
