Hi. I have a Samsung YP-Z5F which is not recognized by the Samsung Media Sudio software (although it comes up as a drive in Windows Explorer). If I log on as Administrator, it appears, so it is obviously a permissions problem. I have given full access to the Samsung folder on the C drive, as well as the registry entries. Does anyone have an idea how else I can fix this? Thank you in advance.
TELL me how you loaded the driver and program...
did you load driver FIRST or the program??

Thanks for replying. Looking at the software on the disc - I would have just installed that and then plugged the player in after. There is only one option really as the disc has an "Install Now" button.
yes, you are SUPPOSED to install the driver first...
THEN plug the device in...
THEN install the software.
I dont have the software, or the device...
I can suggest that AFTER you plug the device in...
There should be a point in the program, to SEARCH for hardware, or to SET it to the device...

Tried again but no luck.......but the guy has decided to use Windows Media Player anyway (even Samsung said to use it) so I don't need to worry anymore. Thanks ECA!
