I am really digging this computer: http://www.samsungelectronics.com/notebook/q10_series/index.html

I like the way it looks, so slim and silver looking. I just wish it had a more powerful processor, but I understand that it doesn't because of heating issues. When the new Intel mobile processor comes out this year, we will be seeing P4 performance with less voltage in a laptop this size. Sweet if ya ask me!

As long as it had as much memory as posible preferably 1GB in memory, then it should be fine. Windows XP really taxes laptops. You would need MINIMUM 512mb of memory in a laptop so speed things up to where they feel normal with XP.

True...realistically there's really no reason I'd be doing anything high-powered on a laptop like this, and memory is realitively cheap nowadays.
I've been looking at slim laptops for awhile (Latitude X200, Gateway Solo 200?, and the Sharp UM20/30) and this is about the max on CPU power (Latitude has a 933Mhz I think). Plus this is about the slimmest there is...20cm is approx. equal to 3/4 inches.

I had a chance to check out the Gateway solo and when the laptop is actually out of its docking station, it is one of the thinnest I have seen. In fact if I had to choose a slim laptop, I would consider the SOLO seriously. When the Centrino CPU's from Intel come out next month, we will see P4 power in slim laptops like these.

Another limitation I found in most of the slim laptops is the max memory. Usually its 384-512mb or somewhere around there. In my opinion, Windows XP really needs at least 512mb of memory. There is a HUGE difference in speed between 512mb and 256mb.
