I was really excited for this show when I saw the ads for it. It looked like a bunch of guys would go to various countries and fight the locals and see who comes out on top.

Well, it's not that show, which was a bit of a let down. However, it is pretty interesting. Each of the guys is interesting in their own right. The challenges can be interesting be seem to be a bit biased towards the endurance guys for the most part.

I still wish it would have been about fighting! I do think they tend to wuss out a bit too much.

Has anyone else seen it? What are your thoughts?

I'm with ya Dang, these guys are wuss's, they do training and running around and then the momen of truth comes and not all of them fight some times, and they some times fight them selves, but still over half of them complain about how "what if i get hurt" crap, then maybe "you shouldn't gone on the show". I do watch it, just so I laugh at them for punking out when it comes time to do something. For the most part, they all tend to go for it, but with some reservations.

But then agian, it's easy for us to say that since we are safe and warm in the comfort of our own home. But then again, we've all done our share of street fighting at one time or another. Some of us go for it others, hang back and don't want to get hit and someone breaks it up before the real damage starts.

I think it's rather disappointing when they are standing in front of some martial arts master and he wants them to fight each other on the first day so he can assess them and someone backs out because they don't want to hurt a friend.

Or they go through a couple weeks training and hike 20 miles to end up dropping out because they don't want to participate in the locals traditional ceremony.

they are on the show damn it, make it work, kick someone's arse or :smack ... they should have gone to a prison here and have some of the inmates do some of the hard work, you know they won't back down.

I was bummed by the show too. I wanted to more actual fighting, and like Dang said, quitting because they don't agree is crap. They are in another country, of course things will be different.

I just saw a new show on Discovery Channel called Fight Quest (http://dsc.discovery.com/fansites/fightquest/fightquest.html). The show I saw was them learning kung fu (one was at a Shaolin temple.)

It's a mix of last man standing and human weapon. The first show I saw was pretty good. There were two guys that trained at separate kung fu schools for a short while. At the end of their training they fought two different "champions" or the schools best fighter. I wasn't sure as I caught the show after it had started.

In any case both of these guys look like they have some martial art experience already. It was pretty cool.
