I guess, since I requested this subforum, I will start.
I am currently auditioning a Sansa Clip & I am very impressed with its sound quality. I bought this to travel with & I had to make myself not be attracted to the sexy touch type user interfaces available. My criteria was for dedicated "hard" volume buttons & a not-so-sensitive controls. I couldn't put my Samsung s5 in my pocket without the volume changing or some other function being activated. I wanted to still be able to adjust the volume, so the "hold" button was not the answer. Anyway the controls on the Clip work well for what I want. I will follow with a more complete review soon.
