View Full Version : Samsung DVD-L100 Portable DVD Player Review
Article Snippit:
"I know my first impression was that those portable DVD players must be really expensive and you must have to be rich to afford one. Maybe a couple years ago this may have been so, but not anymore. Reading this review will expose you to a truly unique product packed full of great features for the home, the office and mainly for the road."

Just read the review. I really am not impressed with his reviews that much personally. I do not need a half page company bio either...
Here is a better review of the product: http://www.monkeyreview.com/reviews/review.php?num=228
I would stay away from Tweaknews...
I dont mind so much the company bio. But if they are going to have it, it needs to be near the end OR create a link from the article to a page where they have company bio's listed. This way it gets it out of the article but still keeps the info for the readers seeking company background.
I just read this article. Could someone please explain to me why this unit cost $1100? Its a dvd player with a lcd screen. Couldnt you buy a nice laptop with a bigger screen, dvd, and way more functionality for less?

What the article failed to mention is that a 10" screen is larger than most portable DVD players. The L100 also supports MP3 fiels via memory stick or CD-RW discs. You can even view pictures on the player.
Another cool feature is that you can mount the player upside down in a vehicle for playback, a lot of the other portable players do not do that. The player is also slimer than most.
This is why I didn't care for their review....he just didn't get it.

Yes but that would make too much sense! These things should be priced out at around $300, waste of money otherwise. Who is going to buy them? Rich people who want to watch movies on a fancy, light, portable DVD gizmo.

I agree with both of you, since you didn't really disagree with Ioman. I don't like the review FORMAT because of the bio.
To expand on your suggestion. They could list all the company Bio's on one page and then just link to that page and possible to the specfic company(if they know what they are doing), instead of making a new bio page for each company. If they did make a bio for each than it should be in one of those annoying javacript pop's.
