Hi everybody, am very happy to have found a site were guys know what they are talking about !!!!

I'm a muso, also a bit into video and photo, but mostly little demos using garage band to start and something ''heavier'' later...

My question is simple : should I buy a imac pro or just a regular imac 2.4 ?

I was encline to go laptop 'coz of it's portability and thaugh buying eventually a bigger screen to plug in the laptop whan i want to use it as an office desktop.

What do U think ?

Thanks a lot for ''brigthing'' my day !

Are you going to use it for anything other than dabbing in music or video? I would make sure you have lots of RAM and a large hard drive. If you want to take it with you on the run, go with the laptop. Otherwise, for the same ammount, get a fully-loaded iMac with a huge screen!

I agree, with Ioman.

The MacBook Pro loaded up in memory, hard drive and processor will do fine for editing hobbiest audio/video production.

If you want less portability, go for the iMac Pro, but personally I'd buy the Mac Pro tower as the ultimate machine.
