Great Forum - I appreciate all of the info...
I've been using my 200A5 for about 3 weeks pretty constantly.
Luckily, I've had no problems.
The back panel contains an S-Video out jack. I see this particular jack appears to have 6 pin receptacles, and S-Video only needs 4.
For an old Dell I used to use, there was an adapter plug that provided composite video out for a similar type of jack. Does anyone know if this is the case here? None of the BB folks seemed to know...

I've used an S-video to analog RCA dongle quite a bit with my 200A5 and a 20" Sony Wega tv. Now, the dongle that I have connects to a standard composite video cable (RCA) and allows you to plug it into a s-video jack (to the 200A5). The pigtail has a 6 pin s-video on one end, and at the other end of the 6" cable, a RCA composite female. Works like a charm.
Now I got the pigtail with a GeForce 2 GTS Deluxe card a couple years ago and have since retired the card. But hey it's really handy. I imagine you can buy these at a decent electronics store, something along the lines of a Radio Shack (but better).

I have not tried this yet. Did our laptop even come with an adapter? If so, I cannot seem to find mind. This would be cool for watching video on a television.

I have tons of gear from tons of different manufacturers so I guess I lucked out. My "draw of cables" is actually two drawers now and growing. I already have the s-video cable and s-video-to-composite pigtail. So you're not alone, all of us got a pretty skimpy cable bundle in the deal with our widescreen lappies. THough it doesn't seem any better through other companies. Bah.

Hey Angus,
I hear you about that "drawer of wires." Mines diffel bag stuffed full of tangles- I usually have what I need when it comes to audio or computer connectivity. Not so with video.
Where should I look for S-video to RCA convertors. Are the common? Like Radio Shack, common?
Take care,
Chris

Yeah they're super common. The adapter I have has about 4" of cable between the two connectors, but I have also seen solid dongle-type adapters that just have an s-video at one end and a RCA at the other. You can most likely find one at a Radio Shack quality store. You can also find them online all over the place for about $10. Do a google search for "s-video to RCA cable" and you should find quite a few. Just make sure it's a male RCA to female RCA.
