MOO3 SUCKS the big one.

It seems that MOO3, REALLY sucks.
Yes I bought it.

It looks like we are the beta testers, its that bad.
The makers of this flatulance seem to NOT have played it. Played ANY of the previous versons, and the BETA testers they had, hadnt either.
There are so many bugs, ya need a fly swatter and BUG spray. ALOT of neet things they COULD have done, werent.
Try a 3D galaxy map with NO referance points. Rather be a Fish in a fish bowl and try to figure RANGE to a star.

ya i was completely dissapointed. this game doesnt make me want to play all night long like the first 2 did.
With the heavy reliance on auto-management it makes you feel disconnected. and my great interest in the technology area was stifled by the large quanitity of technologies being prepared, you dont have enough time to learn/care about what your researching. and the graphical interface was lacking, i liked how they did it in 2

Sorry to hear this guys. It sounds to me like the release date got the best of them and they pushed it out the door before it was finished. What have the magazines and gaming sites been saying about this game?

As I have heard, it went from a 8-9 rating DOWN to a 3-5.
ALOT of groups are VERY pissed.
Whats FUNNY, is a little advert in the box.
A NEW game called Galactic Civ....Galciv.com
To be released March 26th...its single player. BUT it looks MORE as to what was wanted, then this piece of CRAP.

The MAIN rule of game progs, was TOTALLY missed.
Ya dont have to read the manual to play the game, only if you want to do better.

There were ALOT of persons, Looking forward to a NEW chapter in this saga.
What a waste. 3 years of wait, Missed release dates(5), and almost 1 year from its first release date its finally released.
And it NOTHING like it could have been.
Even if they souped it up, they missed alot.
And the AI in it, could have been done better by a 15 year old hacker.
For SOME godforsaken reason, ALOT of companies are NOT looking into the market to see WHAT has been done. And using it to better their OWN progs.
Iv stated before.
They put in all these HIGH end graphics, and pretty colors, and FORGET the game.
The main complaint on there boards, is that we WONDER if any of the companies involved even PLAYED it. That and the beta users, must NOT have played MOO1-2.

PS did you check the READER REVIEW at the bottom... Its 4.7 with 574 reviewers.

Tell you something interesting.
OF ALL the games I have gotton FREE.
THOSE I REALLY liked, I went out and BOUGHT the originals. If nothing else, for the Manual, and extras that were included.
I still remember when a CD (if the company was SMART) included more then just the game on the disk, because the game didnt take up that much ROOM on the CD. They added, demo's and artwork, and STUFF. You didnt get the STUFF from the hacks.
Looking at MOO3, you get 2 CD's. The second is for the music(mostly) and a second copy of the readme file, which is aslong as the Manual(if you cut out the story line).
Who else bought this prog?

I have been really dissapointed in the PC gaming scene as well. It seems like all the games are graphics oriented and they have all forgotten about game play. Only the folks at Blizzard give me a reason to keep on gaming.

ALL over 3 years old. And the graphics arent the best, but they WORK.

WHY do I need a 128 meg video card, JUST to play a game.
Funny fact:
More persons play Solitare then ANY other game. There are over 100 types of solitare games.

Do you think that they should concentrate more on gameplay now that they have the engine developed or does that need work too? A lot goes into making an engine I guess. Let us hope that Doom 3 is not the same.

If you want my opinion on it.
Simplify the interface, then Work on the game. I aint seen any buildings, for developement, except the military.
Then I wish they would add a Space compass, on the 3D display. OR even make it BIG enough that the Zoom lets you ZOOM Thru the planet galaxcy to the AREA you want, OR a FOG of war type thing the you can set for RANGE of stars from your location.
But, this ISNT MOO.
