Hi everyone,

I've been lurking around for a while and though I'd go ahead and stick my head out. I bought the 200a5 for my wife about 6 weeks ago and its been a great addition to the family. She uses it at home and as her work computer, and its worked wonderfully. Apparently we got a good one since none of the common problems have popped up (screen buzz, loose keys, etc).

Anyway, I was playing, er, WORKING with it this afternoon (a weekend luxury) and I noticed that the plastic frame that runs around the screen is a little loose at the top near the left latch, and I was curious if anyone else had noticed the same thing. If so, does anyone know if there's an easy fix that doesn't involve invoking the extended warranty (which I have if I need it).

In terms of problems t ranks pretty low. Mostly a cosmetic thing, really, but dang, it's such a pretty machine, I hate to see it with a blemish!

I've have exactly the same problem with mine, but i havent done anything about it yet. If I was adventurous I would probably remove all those screws on the bezel (removing the little plastic and rubber screw covers first) and then slip some glue under the bezel where its necessary. Or maybe if you just took a look underneath you would find out whats wrong and what to do to fix it.

I wanted to ask you.. do you also have little gray images on the bezel in that same area of the CD control icons? On mine it seems that the bezel presses against those icons (just above the silver buttons on the front) and these cast images on the bezel. I usually rub them off with a wet finger but they reappear every time I open and close the laptop.

Haha, I have those little smudges on my bezel too. I think it's just a design issue with the materials used. I find it annoying that my bezel seem sto be just a hair away from the rest of the screen. It's annoying but I guess I'm not going to sweat it. I worry more about scratching the surface of the magnesium portions of the notebook. They seem pretty easy to get scraped up by things like coins and keys.

haha I think you guys are funny for being so dang picky. I looked at an old laptop I use to use and it has design flaws all over it. I am sure even the high and mighty Apple Powerbooks do as well.

People browsing these forums probably think the VPR Matrix forums are all busted up garbage, instead they need to realize we are all just perfectionists.

Haha. Yeah we're probably giving the brand a bad name with all our picky little primadona posts. Wah wah wah...my 200A5 doesn't great me with a smile and kiss in the morning! SUE!!!

But hey, you know the thing is a champ when the only real complaints about about little things like these. Overall the machine is really a champ. Goofy bezel and smudges from the front panel controls and all. Hehe.

** forgive my goofy typing, I'm still gettin gused to the 200A5 keyboard **
