What's in store?
Speculation about Microsoft's next generation console is rife after Bill Gates apparently revealed a few titbits about what to expect. It seems as though the new machine (rumoured to be called 'Xbox Next') is set to be much more of a multimedia device than the current model.
New features are set to include video and photo editing as well as Internet capabilities without the need for Wi-Fi connections. Meanwhile, upgrades to the current console are also said to be in the pipeline, including integrating Internet Explorer and Windows Media.

Hm...I'm not sure if I like the name..."Xbox Next". Could just be me though.
I wonder what this thing is going to look like.

I think it is sooo stupid for Microsoft to do this. They will be making a lot of enemies in the computer world with companies that are manufacturing media center PC's. I just don't think people will buy the Xbox 2 for its computer like capabilities....I could be wrong though. What do you think?

I'm definately going to have to agree with you on that. Consumers in the console market are not looking for a console with computer capabilities.
I don't know why Microsoft is focusing on this for their next console.
What do u think about the rumored name, Xbox Next? Am I the only one that doesn't like it too much?

I think they should keep IE far away from the Xbox.

I like the regular naming convention...Xbox 2, 3, so on. Just easier when looking at the timeline :)
What would the Xbox after Next be? Xbox After Next? lol :)

I dont like the name Xbox to begin with.
I agree... do not try and integrate products.
Computer gamers and console gamers are a different market.
If a system becomes to "PC-like" I will just use my PC:D
