I have this phone and have to say the speakerphone is incredible. Only Nextel phones compare. Ive already used the speakerphone at work when we had to meet in areas without a landline speaker.

If there is one thing you really do with a phone is to place a call. Screen blankers and fancy rings can take a backseat to functions that enhance conversation.

btw, Ive dropped mine about a hundred times and it works fine. It is exactly the same as the Nextel i80 minus some ruggedness and the two-way radio. Also the Nextel has a superior screen.

I recommend 270c buyers get a Nextel i80 "glove" holster accessory to replace the free, "pop-out prone" holder and also provide water protection.

This would have to be my favorite phone as well. I thought the voice activated call featuire was among the best I have ever used. I thought this phone was great. The service on the other hand was a different story. Verizon service in Oregon is not the best in my opinion and unfortunately that is the only service available for this phone here in Oregon. If they coupled it with ATT then I would have kept the phone (I only had it for a review on the site).

Yaa I work for Verizon Wireless and I (along with other coworkers) love that phone too!

For some reason it doesnt sell too well at our store, but another store bout 13 miles out sold the heck outta that phone.

Also the price of that phone has dropped incredibly on our price list.

One thing that was really suprising was the cost of the 270c dropped a lil below the cost of a Timeport p8767, which was out way longer than the 270c.

Great speakerphone..much better than the Kyocera 3035e
