ok, i have an ECS K7SEM v.3.0A and im guessing the FSB is set to 100/100/33 so my 1800+ is only running at 1150mhz, which sucks. so, i try to set the FSB to 133/133/33 and the damn thing starts up, gets past the post, then a blue screen flashes by really fast and the pc restarts, now, it says in my manual that my mobo can handle 133 and my proc can handle 133, but it still doesnt work. ive tried alot of things, and the last idea i had was that some ECS boards have problems with 2 sticks of memory so im going to try taking one out if all else fails, someone pls help me get my 1800 running at full speed!

Sounds like you are trying to overclock your system right? If so, maybe try some faster memory?

i bought that exact same mobo/cpu
and i was PISSED that it didnt handle DDR
my bad for not paying attention but i figured all new mobo's would.
ECS sucks anyway, try to return it if you can.

Try setting CPU timing to 133 and mem to SPD this will allow the mem to auto adjust to the CPU, also use a multiplier of 4,which will keep your AGP and PCI buses at the correct speeds. A link to the boards page would be helpful.

You have 133 mem right? If you use a stick of 100, then it will underclock automatically and cannot be retimed without switching out the mem for a faster stick. Check for available jumper settings also. Some low end boards come with BIOS and jumpers also, so make sure that a conflict does not exist.

If this is not the latest board, then try flashing the BIOS also, but only as a last resort. You can RMA the system probbable also if it is defective. HTHs Good Luck.

there is a jumper on the board to set it to 100 fsb and you have to change the jumper to set it 133 fsb.

might be a jumperless board
