Hi,
I'm from Spain, and a friend of mine is coming on visit in a few weeks and I'm tempted to buy a vpr 185A5.
Could anyone tell me if the supplied power adaptor works in the 100-240 Volts range?
Thanks.

Well, thanks for your fast answer :)
I've been reading the forum for sometime and there is just one question left before buying this awesome (for the price) laptop:
Would you buy it and take it abroad knowing there won't be technical support?
Do they fail so much? At least half the people who writes in the forum had hardware problems, and that worries me :(

I still would - I'm not sure it's so much a failure rate of this specific laptop, but more of laptops in general. I work at a consulting firm (read: lots of travel), and honestly, about every one of us has a laptop failure that requires hardware repair about once a year. I don't care what brand it is - I've personally replaced Compaq's and Toshiba's, and I know others who have done the same with Dell's.
I'd say my biggest complaint about Best Buy support is with a number of other vendors, you'll get it back w/in 1 week. Best Buy, um, a bit longer...
I don't know if it holds true anymore, but the saying used to be that most computer hardware breaks w/in 30 days of purchase. So, once you get it, give it a good workout. I'd do lots of power cycles, I'd play CD's, DVD's, open and close that screen a 100 times, and make sure that you test out the ethernet, the wireless, the USB, the firewire, etc...
One more thing you have to consider - people NEVER tell you when it's working great on forums like this. But they ALWAYS share a problem.
