Just Ordered 185A5

Just ordered a VPR Matrix 185A5 yesterday from BB's website. Last week I ordered the 175B4 which is scheduled to arrive tomorrow but I changed my mind on which one I wanted so tomorrow I will be taking the 175B4 right back to the local BB to return it. Once I had ordered, BB.com wouldn't let me cancel the order so I have to do it this way.

Once the 185A5 gets here I plan on installing XP Pro and remapping the VPR hotkey. Any suggestions on anything else I should do right out of the box? I have spent the last 2 hours reading all of the posts and still have about 6 pages left so I might run across some new stuff yet. FYI, the 185A5 is now $1299.99 at BB.com with $150 MIR. So, impart your knowledge on me!!!

Welcome to the forums bro. Other than the Best Buy experience, the laptop itself should be pretty cool. Once I get my 200A5 back from Best Buy, I am going to format it, put on XP Pro and remap my keyboard via the software as well. You might want to check in your bios and see what settings you want your CPU to use for the laptop. I think that right out of the box the defaults settings are to underclock the CPU to get more battery life. I turned mine on auto to get CPU speed when it's plugged in and to consverve battery when its not.
