I decided to post this because it took me about 4 hours to get my T68i so synch with my computer at home using Bluetooth. I thought wow, if it was this hard for me, it must be hard for others as well.

Here is my hardware/software:

-Epox Bluetooth adapter
-Sony Ericsson T68i phone from ATT
-Windows XP
-Office XP/Outlook 2002

First make sure that your Bluetooth adapter and software is setup correctly. Once it is installed you will have a Bleutooth serial Port added to your computer. Go into your Bluetooh software and under local services, write down the COM port your Bluetooth Serial Port lists. Mine is COM7. Now go into Client applications (still in your Bluetooth software configuration setup) and write down the COM port it lists for your Bluetooth Serial Port. Mine is COM6. The "Local services" and "Client Applications" will each use a different serial port.

Depending on the Bluetooth adapter and software you have, you will want to "pair" your computer with your T68i phone. To do this with your T68i phone, go into your phone menu/connect/Bluetooth/discover and let your phone "discover" the Bluetooth adapter on your computer. Depending on the security setting on your Bluetooth adapter, you may need to enter a passcode (which you setup through your Bluetooth computer adapter hardware). Your phone should detect your computer and at that time, you can add your computer as a "bluetooth device" under the connect settings.

You will also want to go into your Bluetooth adapter software and find your phone. Once your T68i phone is detected you will want to "pair" it with your computer. This will enable your computer and phone to communicate back and forth effortlessly. Once you have your phone "paired" with your computer, I would recommend going into your "my Bluetooth places" (equivalent of network neighborhood for your Bluetooth items). It should list your phone under Bluetooth places. There will be serial port icon with the name of your phone on it. Right click on it and "connect". If it connects successfully, then you have correctly setup your phone with your computer.

Now is the time to go to the Sony Ericsson website and download the Sony Ericsson Communcations Suite found under "global Support" here: http://www.sonyericsson.com/us/spg.jsp?template=SP1&B=ie&PID=9932&LM=SIM_V and install this on your system. When synchronizing outlook, if you have more than one contacts folder (like me) the phone will only synchronize with your main contacts folder. I would recommend moving any contacts you do not want on your phone, to another contacts folder in outlook. This will eliminate a lot of unwanted contacts on your cell phone, especially contacts without a phone number listed.

This is all I can remember at this point. If I have forgotten anything, please feel free to post updates. As I figure out more things with this phone, I will post them in here.
