I asked about that too, i wanted to see some more flash stuff but i guess there were complaints from people who lacked the support and they dont want to keep those people away.

those people should be kept away, if they have no flash support they do not deserve to be on the same internet as me. :o

some people prefer not to install flash.
on a 56k modem, it takes a while to download flash. imagine going to every page of a site and wanting to download flash plugin or a flash project. bad user experience. :(

I have broadband and I still highly dislike Flash. It has it's purpose, but it slows the crap out of my machines.

I'm glad that I don't have Flash installed (either native or psuedo-emulated) on my FreeBSD boot on my laptop. That and depending on where the Flash animation is located, it can really distract me while trying to read the content provided on the site.

It doesn't work all of the time, but the XulPlanet Preference Toolbar has a "Kill Flash" button that will attempt to stop and remove Flash objects from the page you are viewing. It doesn't always work (mostly if it's a Flash anim within an IFRAME or something). It's a godsend (along with popup blocking with selective exceptions and other JavaScript controls).

Flash animation ads are getting just as bad as cheesy animated GIF banner ads and ones that use Java.

Problem we found is that there were some people that did not have flash installed, so a blank white spot would load and look ugly. We decided to cut it out altogether.
