Hey guys! I am typing this from a 17" iMac Apple sent me to review. I really dig the LCD display, it is so sharp and good looking. There is just something about Apple products that say "refined" unlike any other computer manufacturer. I am sure sme of you are saing "yeah right, Apple sucks" but seriously if you haven't tried one then you can't talk because they really are pretty cool. Maybe not the most powerful, but certainly very refined.

I still hate the one button on the mouse and I think that Apple should do something about this....

not to sound like an ass, but i hate apple computers. my friend has an apple laptop and desktop and they are fine for day to day tasks but a big no no for gaming.

They sell two button mice where you can configure it to act as does the early windows mice. If you buy mac it is all about the CTRL, ATL and Apple key (which is a lot more useful than the windows key).

I am a big fan of Apple products.

Although many companies are trying to adopt the contemporary & sleek look.... few hold their own against apple's designs.

I am looking to purchase a new computer when I move in the next year and I am still trying to decide whether to go for an Apple or a custom PC.

PC will be cheaper... but Apple's look sooooo trendy and stylish!

Have you considered one of Sony's new laptop's? They are both powerfull and good looking. A laptop is great because you can take it wherever you want and with wireless networking being pretty common, you can compute anywhere in your home as well.

I already have a fairly sleek HP laptop, and it's getting the job done. (Even for my Photoshop activity)

It is time for a new desktop... my Athlon 600Mhz is being to show its age.

Maybe the Gateway Profile PC if you are going for style. Of course you will be happy with the new Apple iMac 17" too.

well, ya know, PC outshines apple in even photoshop now. Sure Apples look nice, but thats about it.

Yes, I admit, apple does make smooth, sexy, curvy (like Britney Spears..mm..eruhhh..) computers, but they are pretty useless (hmmm.. once again, like Britney Spears)...

hmm! :brick

bah thats not true. comparing an Apple to a PC is like comparing NAD components to a TEAC reciever. Sure the TEAC has more features, but the NAD is all about looks and quality.

My wife loves our iMac and it is incredibly easy for her to use. I just think its cool. I dont need teraGhz of speed as long as its fast enough and stable.
