I have a LeadTek Ti4600 VIVO. Everything in my computer is running fine now, even the video card. However, when I install the drivers for the card so that I can play games and things like that with better quality (without the drivers display is not very good).

Here is what happens when I install the drivers (30.82 and whatever 5.7 is from the Leadtek Driver CD) on Windows XP. I cannot change resolutions, if I do the screen goes black and the computer must be shutdown. I cannot run DVD's or any video file, if I do the whole video freezes.

When windows turns back on and asks me to send error report (which, btw, I could not even do if I wanted to. for some reason xp wont go on the net.) I view the thing and this is what it says:

szAppName : Drivers.Display szAppVer : 10DE0250A32891107D
szModName : nv4_disp.dll szModVer : 6.13.10.2942 Offset : D0A106EA

Please someone help me. I have tried the latest drivers from nvidia and leadtek. No luck. I need help fast, I will be leaving very soon.

Did you make any changes to the AGP slot configurations in the Bios? I would physically take the card out and put it back in then reinstall it. Make sure to go into "control panel" and uninstall the drivers first. I would also get the latest release version of drivers from Nvidia and use those.

I would never recommend using older drivers on a brand new video card. That defeats the purpose of getting a new card!

What hardware do you have....
Check the HARWARE configuration, NOT the windows configuration FOR the card... I wil BET, that when the NEW driver is set up, insted of the VGA driver at 32bit, it SETs up 128 bit, and takes an extra IRQ... That other IRQ, may have a problem...
2. things...
1, is mentiond above, remove driver then the card, and reset.
2, REMOVE the card, turn on system with OUT card, it will reset IRQ in hardware, and have an ERROR starting(about 10 sec). Turn off, insert card, This resets again...Windows will look At the card and say WHATS this, and will display the driver. Load it up and see what happens.

I have heard that windows XP hates changeing hardware...

Did anything ELSE install when you installed the driver.. You may have to REINSTALL DirectX, as it set itself for the previous card..
