"NBC, MSNBC and National Geographic on Monday said they had terminated their relationship with Peter Arnett after the journalist told state-run Iraqi TV that the U.S.-led coalition’s initial war plan had failed and that reports from Baghdad about civilian casualties had helped antiwar protesters undermine the Bush administration’s strategy."
thoughts?
he's a deusch bag for saying that crap on iraqi tv. sounds almost like he's been brain washed. I wonder if they threatened his life..no idea.
It is appalling though. I wonder if he can be charged with sabotage.

whoa his career really is over. How embarassing to be the center of news yourself by making a very very stupid decision.
It ceases to amaze me how American journalists and reporters continually turn on America, and promote their own viewpoints and anti-American comments in thhe media to audiences here at home and abroad rather than remaining neutral and just reporting on the facts of a news event.
This knucklehead had no business taking an interview with IraqTV and no business sayig the things he said.
Under the Constitution, people such as Mr. Arnett are allowed to exercise extremely poor judgementas he did, but I believe NBC and MSNBC exercsed their right to intercede and terminate his employment. He overstepped his bounds.
News should not be open to interpretation (period.) If reporters are allowed to continue editorializing the news, their employment should be terminated. None of the major American media bureaus are exempt from the trend toward editorializing the news. This is a travesty for our country and I hereby urge a boycott of the major networks' news broadcasts.
well, he's racking up a portfolio of bad decisions. He was also fired from CNN a while back.
I personally have quit watching CNN broadcasts because of their editoralizing of the news on the war. They have been pretty left wing.
