The review roundup talks about the problem with Logitech wireless keyboards requiring you to 'replace the batteries often'.

I have an older Cordless Freedom, and I swap batteries once every 3-4 MONTHS, which is admittedly more often that a corded, obviously, but it is NOT a major downpoint at all. I use rechargables, so no real investment after the initial, and it takes 30 seconds to swap a pair. The software is nice enough to not interrupt what you are doing when the batteries die, too.

Just my $.02

Thanks for the input Brandon (no pun of course). Out of curiosity, what do you think about the review-roundup articles? Do you think they are informative at all? Or should we not do them?

I like it, but I am a big fan of comparative articles, like Anandtech and Tom's HW do, so I don't put too much weight on standalone reviews unless it's a new product and want to get a feel for it. That's what drew me to DT was the constant reviews and info on 'interesting' tech stuff, not just the "hey, new AOpen mobo released today with 1 more USB port" or "we're going to review something we call a 'keyboard'...".

So, to answer the actual question, yes I like the Roundup stuff when it's on new funky thingys that don't need an extensive review. I kinda skip over the more run of the mill stuff, but see where ppl might like it. Like from the 14th's mailbag the power supply and pretty much regular case seem kinda 'any other site' material, the the usb light kit and system monitor panel are closer to DT stuff as I've come to know it.

Thanks for the feedback. Usually the stuff I write about on in the beginning of the story is stuff that I personally find amusing. The stuff I list in the "rest of the mail" is the news I get in through my e-mail. A lot of website owners will get mad if I do not post their news which is why I feel obligated to do so. I will try to scour the net more to find some better stuff to write about.
