"Richard Maldone, who has played mobster Albert Barese in the HBO mafia drama The Sopranos, was arrested in a drug sting, New York city officials said Thursday.
Prosecutors allege Richard Maldone offered the animal tranquillizer ketamine to an undercover police officer. Although Maldone did not ask for money for the drug, the offer is treated as a sale under New York law.
He pleaded not guilty Thursday to a charge of criminal sale of a controlled substance and was released on $5,000 bail."
