I like the ront of this case and think it looks pretty cool, but I also think the whole impression will be ruined once you add a CD rom drive etc... that doesn't match, thats why I like cases with a front cover.

very minimalistic, however, I'm still not sold on the concept of case design as art. In my book, case design should be form follows function. A truly usuable / easy to get into case should have whatever is the most effecient form, not spend tons of time dremeling acrylic or wire brushing aluminum. I like the asthetics of this case (most custom cases look good and some look awesome), but I would really like to see a poll on the number of people who actually see their case on a regular basis and how many put it under their desk and only bring it out to work on it.

I would tend to disagree with you. But I think it depends on your use of the computer. For someone with a very technical background like you, I can see why you would want function over form. For me on the other hand, I look for a computer that blend in with my surroundings. I have so much technology in my house that I would like my computer to look like something that blends in. I don;t just have a room where I keep all of my tech gadgets and computer, but rather they are everywhere around me, so design is very important to me and my wife as well.
