What is everyones experience with ATT/Comcast broadband internet service? So far mine has been great. I get 1.5MBps down and 256K up. The tech support has been ok for the most part which is good.

I signed my parents up for Comcast cable a few weeks ago, and apart from missed installation appointment everything seems to be peachy. That means they have called me to help them with a certain problem. My pops also said that the installer was very helpful in stringing cable around the ole' place. They're happy = I'm happy. I can't really say much about the throughput they're getting, but it must be pretty decent because the service only just arrived a month ago or so. We'll see

WELL, I should be getting cable here thursday.
The cable company here has changed hands 3 times.
The second time it was ATT, and they dropped this area and sold to Cableone. ATT started the overhaul of the system, and cableone finished.
Just wondering what the Diff is between the companies.

I switched from Bellsouth DSL to Comcast Cable and have to say I made the right choice. According to the tech that did my installation, Comcast is considering upping the default speed from 1.5 to 3.8 soon.

/me crosses fingers. :)

A friend of mine who lives in Washington (state) said that when he had ATT cable modem service, ATT offered a 3.8MBPs down and 512K up package for $60/mo. When I called ATT they confirmed this but said they stopped taking orders because Comcast bought them. So I hope that your tech is right! I would love it!
