Sony has been busy lately, releasing several additional software updates for its CLIE line of Palm OS handhelds. The first is the Sony Mobile Connection Wizard, which is compatible with all of Sony's Palm OS 5 devices and offers a streamlined wireless connection setup system. Also available for all OS 5 models is a new version of CLIE Viewer, Sony's image viewing application, which offers faster image rendering and the ability to sort JPG files by creation date.

Sony also has two updates specifically for the PEG-NZ90 and PEG-TG50 models. The first is an update to the included Audio Player program that fixes some problems with the display of ATRAC3 files. The second and more interesting update allows both the NZ90 and TG50, both of which come equipped with Bluetooth capabilities but no drivers for any phones, to connect to selected models of Sony-Ericsson GSM-based mobile phones. Specifically, it supports the Sony-Ericsson T68, T68i, and T39 models, as well as a "Generic GSM Phone" profile.
