Hello i need your help

i just bought a casio EX-s1 camera and a 64 MB memory card with it

i want to know what is the maximum memory card i can put in it? can it work with a 512 MB one? also i noticed it only take 30 sec movies, how about if i want it to keep taking movies for whole 6 minutes till the end of my whole memory capacity or if i can trick it into restarting after the 30 seonds are up without me pressing the button over and over again?

any ideas are appreciated

First of all, welcome to the forums. As you probably know, we just reviewed the new EX-S2 camera: http://reviews.designtechnica.com/review57.html

From what I can tell, there is no limit to the size of the memory card you can put into it. SDisk just announced a new 1GB SD memory card for the camera and I do not see any reason as wo why it shouldn't work. I found no mention of size in the user manual.

In my opinion the 30 second movies are a limit that Casio intentionally put on the camera. Most likely to get people to spend more money for the higher end models. I have yet to figure out a way to get more than 30 seconds out of my movie recording. Audio would be nice too, but I do not want to spend the extra money in order to get the next model up.

I need the smallest camera that can capture videos for up to 10 minutes with no need for me to reste every 30 seconds or every whatever during the whole capture time?

what's your advice?

thanks a lot :-)

My advice would be to look at the new Sony Cybershot camera's. I think they do video (although not 10 minutes). Other than that, I would recommend one of the tiny JVC MiniDV based camcorders. They are pretty small and should work although I think they are around a grand price wise.
