The WRISTOMO works on the PHS mobile network in Japan. The wrist watch costs 37,000 yen (excluding tax) and comes with a standard accessory kit including battery charger, cushioned pad and adjustable wrist band. An optional cable (SI1001) that connects the WRISTOMO with a PC to exchange data costs 6,200 yen (excluding tax).

37,000 JPY, eh'... lets see.. /114... $324.56, not too bad. Shame people wont release something like this on GSM or CDMA or something.

I think a lot of it has to do with culture. The Japanese find technology somwhat stylish, where here in the US anyways, we have not embraced technology as stylish yet, at least not fashion wise. Calculator wrist watches are laughed at for example. Although, most Japanese tech is pretty stylish and small, but they are forced to make things small and sleek because there is little room in their homes for large stuff!
I would LOVE to see all the stuff they have done, and be able to get it here.
ALOT of the game consoles had extras with them you couldnt GET in the US.
It is funny, that US markets DONT think we would use/ like there products, but to consider some of the CRAP they have brought over to sell to us.

Nice, but low-ish talk time, and even more annoying, really awkward recharging while on the road will probably do it in for the US release. Almost everyone I knowcharges while driving almost solely. Also, I think the techy geeks like myself are waiting for something with BT and higher transmission speeds so that all the other gadgets we have can use the connection.

well all it would need would be bluetooth and it would be good in the car for me with a wireless headset.
