Is it possible to steal a house that doesn't exist? Yes, say Tokyo police who arrested a 21-year-old man who allegedly sold a virtual house owned by a woman, to another player of Ultima Online, a popular internet role playing game. The man reportedly asked the games system administrator to provide the woman’s "lost" password. Then he took advantage of the fact that the games gold pieces - used by players as virtual currency - can be turned into real cash by making deals through inline bulletin boards. The man is being charged with selling the woman’s virtual house, valued at 25 million gold pieces, for 50K Yen or about $425 dollars.

I had no idea that people were buying and trading property on that game. Is it similar to Ever Quest?

IO:
This game is OVERWHELMING. It has gotten so large, it is totally awesome. And yes, it is like EQ.
Only problem is STARTING off, can take about 1 year to get Strong enough, even with hints and cheats. But its also a giant auction house. Ppl selling off charactors, and everything.
